Reclaim Your Vision After a Head Injury

Reclaim Your Vision After a Head Injury

A concussion can bring about many challenges, including visual issues that impact your daily life. Indeed, post-concussion vision problems are more prevalent than one might think, and they can manifest in various ways, including:

  • Headaches
  • Blurred vision
  • Double vision
  • Dizziness
  • Light sensitivity
  • Difficulty maintaining focus
  • Poor depth perception

These vision challenges often extend beyond mere inconveniences; they can signify an underlying, undiagnosed visual problem that has the potential to cast a shadow over your daily life and make reading, learning, and even routine tasks challenging.

If you or someone you know has recently experienced concussion-related vision issues, it might be time to explore the potential benefits of post-concussion vision therapy.

Post-Concussion Vision Therapy: A Path to Recovery

Post-concussion vision therapy is a customized program that focuses on treating vision problems caused by a concussion. This therapy utilizes non-surgical therapeutic techniques personalized to engage your brain through a series of meticulously designed exercises and activities.

For example, if you experience double vision, your therapist will design and tailor exercises that challenge your brain to merge those two images. As time passes, your brain learns to perceive a complete picture, thereby expediting the healing process.

This proactive approach empowers you to regain visual function and confidence rather than waiting for symptoms to subside on their own.

Absolutely 100% would recommend Woodbury Eye Clinic. I had a really bad concussion 5 months ago (my... 12th concussion) and have been using Fairview for 1) speech 2) PT, and 3) OT without much progress. Then I began using Woodbury Eye Clinic. My therapist, Kong, has been an absolute game-changer. I didn't feel like fairview helped me at all, but I have actually seen noticable progress in my recovery since using Woodbury Eye Clinic. Dr. Cole really knows his stuff about concussions and how the eyes work with the mind and body. Thank you!
